We have just renewed our Post Status membership, here is why you should sign up

We have blogged about this before and as our yearly membership has just renewed we thought we would let everyone know why we continue to be a member of Post Status and what benefit it does for us and the WordPress community.

If you are unfamiliar with Post Status then they are a website and news service “dedicated to informing WordPress professionals and enthusiasts about the industry”. Since starting the site 2013, Brian Krogsgard has grown the site and then in 2015, he introduced the Post Status membership club. We joined very soon after this launch and have been paying members since.

So, what are the benefits:

  • Regular emails covering interesting topics around WordPress. These are great and means we keep up to date with what’s going on without having to visit loads of sites. The style of writing is highly informative with a personality which really helps.
  • Slack channel so you can discuss things with other WordPress professionals. This has been a life saver on more than one occasion and you can get on Slack and speak to other WordPress professionals and ask questions if you are stuck with something. Its a really friendly place to hang out.
  • Events hosted by Brian for members such as ‘Publish’,  a 2-day conference and networking opportunity to chat with like-minded people.
  • There is a place for some great deals on plugins, themes and other WordPress goodies.
  • Newly launched Jobs board. There are some great companies looking for people so if you are looking for a job then this is a great place to look.
  • Podcasts about key topics in WordPress. Whilst most of these are open to non-paying members, they are still a great resource for learning more about WordPress

Its a simple thing for us to continue to be members as the value we get from the regular emails is worth the price alone. Add on the Slack channel and its a win-win for everyone.

If you are serious about knowing more about what is going on in the WordPress ecosystem and beyond, then the price of Post Status membership more than pays for itself.
