Why showing up means showing up and how you can show up more often!

There is a quote that often goes round about showing up being 90% of the way to success.

What I have realised is that showing up isn’t just showing up and doing your normal amount of effort in your normal frame of mind and then expecting magic things to happen. No, that is the sure path to frustration and disappointment.

Showing up, for me, is characterised by engaging 100% with what you about to do with massive amounts of discipline, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude. Showing up is doing it when you don’t feel like it, doing it when you are having a bad day, doing it when its raining and so on. That is the true meaning of showing up and if you do that with the right process then you will be 90% of the way to your own version of success.

Here are some ideas for how you can show up more often:

• Get up early
• Take a cold shower
• Exercise every morning
• Review your outcomes daily
• Do the important tasks first
• Be 1% better than yesterday in everything you do
• Cultivate a can-do attitude

Come up with your own list of things you can do to show up more regularly and keep doing them even when it seems you are not getting results or its hard work. Thats the way to get the best results.
